RICHARD PETERSON
Background: Richard has worked in design, construction, and project management for the past 20 years. As a project manager, Richard has a proven track record managing budgets and schedules, coordinating multiple funding sources, obtaining permits, and solving complicated design and logistical problems.
Selected Experience: Richard is currently
managing the design and construction of Poets House, a
new 11,000 square foot "C.I. Leed Gold" Certified library
in Battery Park City. Richard has managed the design and
construction of the Rockaway Education and Health
Center, a $13.5 million new building for a community
healthcare provider, including oversight of the project
architect, general contractor, and various related vendors
and consultants. Richard is also managing the design and
construction of the 3 Legged Dog Art & Technology
Center, a 12,000 square foot alternative theater
and art gallery space in Lower Manhattan. Richard's experience
prior to joining Denham Wolf included serving as project
manager for the Rose Center for Earth & Space, a
much-acclaimed $220 million project of the American Museum
of Natural History; his responsibilities included serving
as liaison to the Museum's administration and scientific
departments and oversight of the architect and construction
manager. Richard also worked with Tishman Construction,
where he was responsible for management of all architectural
trades on the Whitehall Ferry Terminal project,
a $170 million reconstruction of Manhattan's terminal
for the Staten Island ferry.
During the three years Richard spent at the New York City Economic Development Corporation as Project Manager in the Capital Program Division, he was responsible for the successful completion of the City Hall Rotunda restoration, Brooklyn Army Terminal Pier 4 Improvements, and construction of the North Shore Esplanade Extension.
Education: Richard received a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the City College of New York. |
