About Us

Our principals, Jon Denham and Paul Wolf, created Denham Wolf to apply their substantial real estate expertise in helping the nonprofit community navigate the complexities of defining real estate requirements and bringing projects to fruition. Since 1998, the company has assisted more than 125 organizations to plan, acquire and develop well in excess of a million square feet of space.

Real estate and capital projects should be driven by an organization's mission and programs. We seek to have each nonprofit pursue its mission from a position of strength and stability. A healthy client organization produces a healthy project. Denham Wolf views our role in a holistic manner: we support, protect and bolster the entire client organization.

At the Nexus of Nonprofits and the Real Estate Process
We offer nonprofit organizations in-depth expertise in real estate planning, acquisition and development that few have available in house. We serve as the hub of the inherently complex real estate process, bringing together the disparate pieces, from organizational goals to finance to design and the building process. We keep the organizational, financial and physical aspects of a project moving forward in parallel to avoid costly detours and assure project success.

Facilitating Real Estate Decision — making in a Mission Context
We enable each client to make informed real-estate related decisions that advance their mission and programs and create positive, sustainable change. We gather information, articulate options, develop alternatives and structure optimum decision-making processes. We serve as strategic advisor, counselor, facilitator, and implementer, depending on a client's needs.

Project Management That Protects Resources
Once decisions are made, we're available to drive the project to a successful conclusion. Managing a real estate project can consume significant agency time and absorb mission-related resources. By involving us, the client gets to focus on their core mission and continuing work, with confidence that the project will be completed cost-effectively.

Progressive Real Estate Development
In 2006, Denham Wolf launched its own real estate development practice. We actively pursue new development opportunities. Denham Wolf's development practice follows the same rigorous values as our consulting practice. We strive to develop projects that:

  • Contribute responsibly to a neighborhood or community
  • Respect a neighborhood's current population, history and future economic potential
  • Employ appropriate and creative architecture and environmentally sustainable design
  • Attract a diverse set of users, including nonprofits and for-profits, to create a vibrant and stable "ecosystem"
