Senior Associate, Project Management Services

Denham Wolf is seeking a Senior Associate to serve as a central member of the Project Management Services group, which leads design and construction projects on behalf of its clients.

The group's projects, which are led by Project Management Services' senior members, include managing the planning, funding and financing, design, permitting and approvals, bidding, construction, closeout, and occupancy processes of our clients' capital projects. Since the firm’s inception, Denham Wolf has provided real estate services specifically to nonprofit organizations in New York City and beyond. As nonprofits, many of our clients undertake projects with significant support, financially and otherwise, from the public sector.

The Senior Associate will support Denham Wolf’s project managers and controller in driving projects forward, working closely with all members of the Project Management Services group. Key responsibilities of the Senior Associate include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and update project documentation, such as project budgets, cashflow projections, project schedules, and meeting minutes.
  • Support the selection of project team members, including drafting RFPs for consultants and contractors, and organizing finalist interviews.
  • Support the creation of project reports and presentations as required by the client, government agencies, and/or funders.
  • Support the administration of progress payments to contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Coordinate furniture, fixture, and equipment procurement and installations.
  • Support the project close-out process
The Senior Associate role is full-time, New York-based, and includes both in-person and remote components. The position reports to the Managing Director of Project Management Services.


Requirements

Ideal candidates for the position of Senior Associate will possess the following experience and characteristics:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree, preferably in Real Estate, Building Sciences, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the commercial real estate and/or AEC industries.
  • Demonstrated technical skills related to design and/or construction projects.
  • Proficiency with drafting, scheduling, and budgeting software. Candidates with experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project will receive priority consideration.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including persuasive writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and tasks under tight deadlines.
  • An aptitude for creative problem solving and consensus-building.
  • Professional experience with New York City nonprofits and/or government agencies, including financing strategies and public sector funding, will receive priority consideration.


Compensation

Compensation is salary-based and commensurate with experience. The base salary for this position is $85,000-$100,000. Performance bonuses and other compensation incentives are available and subject to meeting and exceeding defined performance metrics.
